Decorative Stud Pumpkins

All you need are some decorative studs & pumpkins!  The studs should push in fairly easily, like a thumbtack into a cork board.  I found it can cause a bit of pumpkin juice to drip from the puncture, so dab that up with a paper towel & you're good to go!

You can even make an easy-peasy Jack o' Lantern face!

P.S.: Do you prefer faux or real pumpkins?  Or both?

  1. I turned up my nose at the fake carving pumpkins when they first started showing up at the craft stores, but I'm such a hypocrite because I made five fabric stuffed pumpkins today (roughly modeled after some I saw for sale at the craft store too). I've also had an artificial Christmas tree all my life and never thought it was silly. I don't know what the difference is! I'm not a farmer or even a gardener so I could never appreciate the original meaning of decorating with pumpkins. I've thought about collecting objects from nature, things that grow in the area where I live, and finding ways to decorate with those, an exercise in seeing the beauty in the place where God has put me to live and being thankful for it. As I've moved from childhood into adulthood I've really wanted the holiday celebrations I do to actually mean something to me, and as far as celebrating fall goes, fall where I live is definitely not pumpkins and colorful leaves. But as I said before... the fabric pumpkins.

I like the new look to your blog, it looks fresh.

    1. Yeah, I'd rather have the real deal, but I've got some small faux ones, too {I like that I don't have to worry about em rotting}. =) Your fabric pumpkins sound cute; I'd love to see them! Thanks for commenting & letting me know you like the blog's new look! Happy fall!
