My personal top favorites are: humility, gentleness, kindness, & humor. Which ones really speak to you? Can you think of any others?
I love this older song, & I thought it was perfect for this post. I'm not sure the rhyme or reason for the winter scene used, but perhaps it can give you a feeling of coolness on this hot summer's day most of us are experiencing! Enjoy! Be sure to turn off my main Mixpod first! =)
Love Always,

You are the sweetest of friends! Thank you for telling me what you've gone through as well. I felt so mad at myself...but I knew God really didn't want that at all. I know now that my time of boldness and fearlessness will in His time come.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post - I have many times written down the characteristics I want in my future prince. The ones that really stand out to me were...
Gentleness;
Self-control;
Leadership;
Kindness; and
Humor
and of course others! I love this Purity month thing you're doing. I'm praying for you sis ;) Love you always:
Amber
P.S. Don't you just love eating with mom? Me my mom and my older sister ate lunch at the park today. It's better than going to a restaraunt don't you think?
My favorites are self-control, respect, leadership, humor, and courage (but I would like for him to have all of the ones you mentioned!). I have a few lists scattered through my journals about what I look for in a future husband.

I really want the guy I marry to be of course a strong Christian. I want him to have a clear picture of what God's role is for the husband-wife relationship, I want him to be a leader.
ReplyDeleteThose are the most important to me, but I would also want him to be hardworking, funny, and smart. :)

I've done a list kind of like this myself. :) It's divided into group A (absolutely necessary), group B (fairly important but not vital) and group C (would be nice but not at all important) qualities...clearly I have too much time on my hands! :P
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to be with someone who's serious about God and is a good leader, but at the same time, I want him to have a sense of humour...I find people who are too serious all the time kind of annoying! So I think this is a pretty good list.
God bless xox
Howdy Bess! I've been a reader here for a while, then it hit me that I'd probably be able to see new posts easier if I followed *duh* so now I'm a follower! Your blog has been a great encouragement to me already in the few weeks I've been reading it, and for me as a younger teenager, it's helpful for me to read what "older" girls have to say about growing up and life in general!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you've heard of my blog before (http://scrapsfrommyworkbasket.blogspot.com) but I would be honored if you'd visit sometime!
Love and {hugs} in Christ,
Jo
Bess! I love your blog! It's really neat, you write awesome posts! I love your blog background too!! I think I'm going to become a follower! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome post, Bess, as always!

Although I know the Prince my Heavenly Father has for me has all of these qualities and more, these are the ones that stood out especially to me.
I was just thinking... What a perfectly, perfectly, wonderful thing it is to know that you're in God's hands. That He's taking care of you, and that everything that's happening in your life was planned by the Master. Isn't it relieving to know that we don't have to go out and look for our special guys? God is so good, that He'll bring the two of us together in His perfect timing, and at the perfect place, under the perfect circumstances. What a perfectly wonderful thing it is to be in the center of God's will! I tell ya, nothing the world has created, or ever will create can beat that. I'm so glad I know my Father!
Oops... didn't mean to ramble, (bad habit of mine... :)
Love you, 'Sis!
