It's Blog-tember!

Be You

Happy Blog-tember, everybody!

Today is the kick-off of Bailey Jean's 2nd annual Blog-tember Challenge.  Head over to Brave Love blog to find out more about it!  I participated last year {scroll down to the archive in my sidebar & look up September 2014 for more on that}, & am so excited to join in again!  Let's do this!

Today's prompt is to introduce yourself.
So, here goes...

Hi, I'm Bess!

Here's some things I love...

A Few of My Favorite Things...

Here's some more info...
  • Jesus is my Savior & King & that is the most important thing you should know about me.  I'm forgiven & free only through Him!
  • I've been blogging for about 5 years.
  • I graduated in 2009 with an elementary education degree {still working on finding that amazing teaching job (yes, it's been discouraging)}.
  • I currently substitute teach & work part time at a library.
  • I traveled to Scotland completely solo when I was 20 {I had never even been on an airplane prior}!
  • 4 years later I did it again - this time to England & Wales {click here for more on my travel escapades}.
  • I've been an aunt since I was 4!  My 3rd & newest nephew was actually born this summer!
Thanks to Bailey Jean for hosting this month-long challenge!

Love,
-Bess-

  1. Hi Bess! Nice to meet you. I'm excited to learn more about you during this linkup! I have a niece and nephew that are 1 & 4 and I COMPLETELY adore them. Are nieces and nephews great?!

  2. I just turned 24 and I am still single. Although this has been a major struggle for me because I desired to get married so much. I decided that traveling is something I need to do. I hope I will too. How was scotland??

    1. Scotland was amazing {I blogged a bit about it here: http://bessbag.blogspot.com/search/label/Jolly%20Britannia}! Traveling solo is definitely not all charm & adventure - it's tough & lonely at points, too, but it's what I felt led to do. I think traveling with friends or family would be amazing, too. As to the singleness thing, I understand. I'm almost 29 & unmarried, but I believe life doesn't begin after "I do." Life is here & now & it doesn't wait, it's perpetually moving. Don't put your life on hold waiting for someday. Go & live the adventure God has in store for you in the present.
      Blessings,
      -Bess-
