About the Author: That's Me!

Hi, I’m Bess & this is my blog.  Typically, you’ll see my name at the end of each post with little dashes hugging it – it’s just my thing, I guess (I’m dash happy).  I’m 27 {soon to be 28 in a couple months (which feels very old all of a sudden)}.  The most important thing you should know about me is that I’m a lover & follower of Jesus.  Yep, He’s my Savior & accepting Him into my life as the forgiver of my sins & being baptized {Acts 2:38} was the most important decision I will ever make.  I mean, like ever ever – sorry possible wedding day & the birth of my children you will have to take silver & bronze trophies!

Anywho, I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, but things haven’t gone as I planned {surprise, surprise} & I’m currently waiting for that fabulous teacher job where I get to mold young minds & encourage tiny tots.  Honestly, some days I question what God is doing {or what it feels like He’s not doing}, but in my heart I know He’s got this & He’s for me {& these truths bring me back to the feet of Jesus seeking His forgiveness once again that I’d ever doubt His love, power, & plan}.

He's up to something good in my life & maybe one day He'll sweep away the thick fog of mystery & let me in on it.  If not, I'll just turn up the fog lights & keep on trusting.  One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 1:6, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."  There's hope & peace in that for this girl!

pumpkin pie {year-round (yes, I literally polished off 2 single-handedly this past week)}, buntings & garlands, Emily Dickinson's poetry, DIY projects, decorating my apt., writing {& reading}, thrift store hunting, singing along with the car radio {provided I'm driving solo}, vintage things, party favors, Ball mason jars, the book of Romans, adventuring, Loch Ness {I've waded in the murky monster lake}, & {of course} my No. 1 Jesus!

Blog-tember Love,
-Bess-

  2. Hello! Found your blog via the link up :) I can SO relate to your "waiting for the next move" stage of life. I feel like that is where I am as well. I'm trying not to get too frustrated, but I'm also very anxious for Him to reveal the next steps! Praying that happens for both of us soon!
